To provide a slime location checking device for checking presence/absence of slime at an arbitrary location of a pile hole, and to provide a slime location checking method.
According to the structure of an excavator 10, a kelly-bar 12 is lowered into a pile hole 20, and a lowering amount is detected by a rotation amount sensor 95. Next, side wall plates 30 and excavating arm members 34 are moved in a radial direction of the kelly-bar 12 by a link mechanism 66, and moving amounts are detected by a displacement sensor 73. Thus a slime sensor 31 is arranged at a slime presence checking location in an intermediate widened portion 21A or 21B, or a widened bottom portion 23 of the pile hole 20, and subsequently presence/absence of the slime is checked by the slime sensor 31. In this manner since the lowering amount of the kelly-bar 12, and the moving amount of the side wall plates 30 are controlled, the slime sensor 31 can be arranged at the arbitrary location in the intermediate widened portion 21A or 21B or the widened bottom portion 23 in the pile hole 20, to thereby check whether the slime S is present or absent at the location.
