PURPOSE: To obtain automatically the best condition for the feed interval of a slip, by driving intermittently a motor by a timer after estimating the processing time needed for a sheet of slip and feeding intermittently the slip.
CONSTITUTION: When a slip feed controller is started, the slips 101 on a hopper 100 are fed one by one by a belt driven by a motor 103. A motor 108 is also started simultaneously, and the motor 103 stops when the tip of the slip 101 is detected 104. However the slip 101 is carried to a reading part by a belt 106. The feed motor 112 of the reading part is equal to a stepping motor and drives intermittently a belt 111 synchronously with reading operation. A counter (not shown in the figure) measures the time during which the tip of the slip 101 is detected 109 and then the rear edge is detected 110. This measured value is stored, and the motor 103 is driven intermittently based on the data of the stored measured value. Thus the subsequent slips are fed successively. When the processing time is increased, motors 103 and 108 are stopped until the rear edge of the slip is detected 110. This ensures smooth and automatic feed of slips.
