The lubricant flowing out from an oil feed port and filling an oil groove makes lubrication for the sliding between the upper guide face 2a of a bed 1 and the sliding face 8 of a table 5. The table 5 is slid in the floating contact state by a bearing force adjusting pocket 13. The gap between a sliding face 16 and a lower guide face 2c in a static pressure pocket 18 is narrowed, the pressure in the static pressure pocket 18 is increased, and the force against the floating of the table 5 due to the dynamic pressure effect is applied to push down a lower guide member 53, i.e., the table 5. Thus, floating of the table 5 is suppressed.
