Abstract:
PURPOSE:To input a slip in the same way as handwriting by providing a means for generating the coordinate data corresponding to a position which has been instructed by handwriting, a means for deciding an item, a means for recognizing a character and a means for displaying the character on a decided item. CONSTITUTION:A coordinate position on the surface of a tablet, which has been instructed with a pen 1i is detected by electrostatic coupling of an electrode applied by a scan of transparent electrodes 1c, 1d and the pen 1i. The detected signal is amplified by a pre-amplifier 1j and its noise component is eliminated through a filter 1k, said signal is applied as an instruction position detecting signal to a counter 1h, and its counting value is outputted as instructed position coordinate information on the surface of the tablet, which has been instructed with the pen 1i. In such a way, information of a character pattern which has been brought to writing input through a coordinate input device, that is, a sequence of a position coordinate is given to a display device through a processing controller, and an input of character information is executed as if the character is mentioned on the paper surface by using a pen.
