Abstract:
To provide a slip prevention method in a rough rolling capable of surely preventing slip between a rough rolling mill and a material to be rolled when rough-rolling a heated slab (the material to be rolled).
A secondary scale on a surface of a rough bar 7 is transformed from FeO (wustite) to Fe3O4 (magnetite) by forcibly cooling the surface of the rough bar 7 in the proximity of the inlet side of the rough rolling machine 1 by a spray water of a nozzle 8. Thereby a friction coefficient between the work rolls 3 of the rough rolling machine 1 and the rough bar 7 is increased and the slip is surely prevented.
