To provide a slip ring device the cooling efficiency of which can be enhanced when compared with prior art.
A slip ring device 10A comprises: a slip ring 11 provided on a rotating shaft 1; and a brush 12 being pressed against the surface of the slip ring 11. A plurality of slip rings 11 are provided, side by side in the axis Ax direction, on the rotating shaft 1. The plurality of slip rings 11 are arranged while spaced apart in the axis Ax direction so as not to come into contact with each other. An insulation ring 13 is provided coaxially with the rotating shaft 1 between adjoining slip rings 11. When viewed from a direction orthogonal to the axis Ax direction, the insulation ring 13 has a cross-sectional surface formed asymmetrically with respect to the axis Ax direction.
