To provide a slip stopper for a vehicle capable of being used in many kinds of tires different in their sizes and easily attached/detached, by attaching the hook part of a joint lock body of a particular construction to the joint lock body attaching part of a slip stopping member freely attachably thereto/ detachably therefrom and enabling the slip stopping member to be tightly attached to the tire.

When a slip stopper is attached to a tire 29, firstly rubber-like slip stopping members 32 are sequentially fitted on the outer peripheral surface of the tire 29 and their both end parts positioned inside of the tire 29 are connected to each other by connecting hooks. Then, both end parts of a cable 30 positioned on the outside of the tire 29 are connected to each other by means of a hook 31 and also the tip of a tool is fitted to the fitting part formed in the central part of a rigid plate 20 of a joint lock body A in which hook parts 22b, 22b are hooked on the cable 30 so that this rigid plate 20 may be placed in clockwise turning motion. Then hook bodies 22, 22 are set and locked between lock projections 23, 23 and a hook body hit preventing and fitting part reinforcing rib 25, the cable 30 is tightened so that the rudder-like slip stoppers may be mounted on the tire 29.
