Title:
SLIT DETECTOR FOR ANISOTROPICALLY CONDUCTIVE TAPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0749504
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To satisfactorily detect the slits of an anisotropically conductive tape (ACF).

CONSTITUTION: This detector is provided with a revolving roller 44 for moving a peeling film 2a stuck with the ACF 2 which is let off from a winding reel 3 of a sticking machine 4 and is scored with the slits C to open the slits C moving along the arc surface of the revolving roller 44 to a wedge shape by the arc surface. The detector is provided with an illumination system 5 which irradiates the opened slits C with illuminating light LT from diagonal above and diagonal below at a suitable angle, a condenser lens 61 for the scattered light LR of the slits C, a slit plate 62 which removes noise light, a photodetecting system 6 which consists of multielement type photosensors 63 having upper and lower photodetecting surfaces 63a, 63b for respectively detecting the diagonally upward and downward scattered light LR1, LR2 condensed by the condenser lens 61 and a signal processing circuit 7 which detects the center C0 of the slits C by processing the photodetection signals S1, S2 of the upper and lower photodetecting surfaces 63a, 63b. By which, the sticking of ACF2 with the liquid crystal panel 1 is surely executed.
