To provide a transport (and installation) device capable of increasing the efficiency of transport or installation operation, remarkably reducing a transport or installation power, eliminating the generation of dust, transporting or installing accurately and smoothly to an intended position and transporting safely without causing vibration.

This transport device comprises a pipe 6 having a longitudinal slit 16 through the overall length thereof sealing wire material 7 disposed near the outer periphery of the pipe 6 through the overall length and capable of closing the slit 16 by sucking air into-the pipe 6, a running core 8 inserted into the pipe 6 and allowed to be run in the pipe 6 by evacuating the air inside the pipe 6, and a transport means 17 for transported matter 13 provided at the tip of the transported device connected to the running core 8 in the pipe 6 and positioned out of the pipe after passing through the slit 16.
