To provide a slitter which reliably detects a terminal part of cloth and prevents the cloth from falling from a gluing machine body even when the operation of a gluing process by an automatic gluing machine is stopped.
A slitter for wall paper gluing includes: a contact roller having a pair of contact circumferential parts in contact with a wall covering material to be conveyed along a guide surface part 72; a perforated hole which is perforated on the guide surface so as to be arranged between the pair of contact circumferential parts of the contact roller; a contact sensor provided with a stay piece 81 to be brought into contact with the wall covering material to be conveyed along the guide surface part 72 through the perforated hole, from the rear side; and a cloth conveyance control means which emits a signal for stopping the conveyance of the wall covering material when a contact end in contact with the back surface of the wall covering material, of the stay piece 81 passes through the perforated hole and does not abut on the wall covering material conveyed along the guide surface part 72 is detected and, thereafter, the detection continues even after a predetermined time or even after a predetermined conveyance distance of the wall covering material passes.
