Title:
SLITTER WINDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61155163
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to set the tension of a belt-like sheet to an appropriate value at a touch roller step just before the winding thereof, to aim at enhancing the roll quality of the sheet, by providing a mechanism for slightly changing the peripheral speed of a touch roller for a split narrow sheet, with respect to the peripheral speed of a feed roller for a wide width sheet.

CONSTITUTION: A belt-like sheet S fed through a feed roller 8 is split by a slitter blade K into a plurality of narrow width sheets Sa which are then distributed alternately to left and right by a feed-out roller 10 and are held on a pair of wind-up support members A through touch rollers 1 which are driven with their peripheral speed being slightly changed with respect to the feed roller 8 by means of a slight speed change mechanism. Further, each sheet Sa is wound up, as a sheet roll R, onto a wind-up core supported onto a wind-up shaft C which is rotated by a required wind-up torque transmitted from a drive mechanism 13 through a transmission mechanism. Thus, the tension of the band-like sheet which has varied during the feed-out stage thereof is compensated to an appropriate value just before the wind-up process, and therefore, the touch rollers are made into contact with the narrow wide sheets in accordance with the width thereof, thereby it is possible to aim at enhancing the quality of a sheet roll which are wound up.
