To provide a slitter which can cut a medium sheet with an arbitrary cutting dimension, and is free from inclined cutting of the medium sheet even if an image is inclinedly printed on the same.
The slitter is formed of: a transparent scale through which widthwise cutting mark locations calibrated on a medium sheet are visible; at least two mark location detectors located at the widthwise cutting mark locations; a medium inclining stand for adjusting the inclination of the clamped medium sheet with respect to a table in response to lengthwise cutting mark location signals from the mark location detectors; and a plurality of slitter units having rotary cutters built therein, respectively, for accepting and cutting the medium sheet in a lengthwise direction at the cutting mark locations.
