Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit for protecting a slope face, which solves at once both problems of protecting the slope face and disposing of lumber from thinning.
SOLUTION: The slope face protection unit 10 comprises at least two or more supporting frames 20 each consisting of a nearly vertical member 23 and a horizontal member 22 combined in an L-shape, lumber from thinning 30 attached transversely across the vertical members 23 of supporting frames 20 and an auxiliary reinforcing strap 40 placed between the lumber 30 and the vertical member 23. A bolt 25 planted in the vertical member 23 allows the lumber from thinning 30 to be removable. The face of slope is constructed by piling up the protection units 10 filled with soil.
