Abstract:
PURPOSE: To convey only ferromagnetic material while separating non-magnetic inpurities, by using an endless belt put on an inclined endless magnetic belt.
CONSTITUTION: As a mixture of ferromagnetic material and non-magnetic impurities is put in a hopper 9, the non-magnetic impurities drop through a gap (G) between the hopper bottom and the surface of a rubber belt 2, while the ferromagnetic material is conveyed upward, being adsorbed on the surface of the rubber belt 2 by means of a permanent magnetic belt 1 thereunder, on an inclined path, as the rubber belt 2 travels in the arrow (B) direction. Many ledges attached to the surface of the belt 2 at equal intervals can carry even spherical material
