Abstract:
To solve a problem of causing water hammer if quickly closing a gate valve installed in a pipeline such as a waterway.
A gear comprising a gear 1 and a gear 2 is provided between a valve opening/closing handle and a valve, and a gear ratio is changed to slow down the closing speed before the total closure of the valve to reduce the occurrence amount of water hammer.
