To provide a sludge dehydration system and a sludge dehydration method, capable of reducing the moisture content of dehydrated cake, which far exceeds an upper limit moisture content in a standard range, to a moisture content suitable for incineration treatment as final disposal without using an expensive organic polymer coagulant for further dehydration treatment of the dehydrated cake.
The sludge dehydration system includes: a separation facility 1 which separates supplied sludge into separated matter and separated liquid; a sludge carrying facility 2 which carries the separated matter discharged from the separation facility 1; an inorganic coagulant addition facility 3 which adds an inorganic coagulant to the separated matter carried by the sludge carrying facility 2; and a separated matter storage facility 4 which stores the separated matter having the inorganic coagulant added thereto by the inorganic coagulant addition facility 3 and carried by the separated matter carrying facility 2.
