To provide a sludge scraping device in which an endless chain can be surely prevented from disengaging from a rotary wheel even when an earthquake occurs.
A sludge scraping device 10 includes an endless chain 11 with a scraping member 12, a driving sprocket 14 for causing the endless chain 11 to travel, an intermediate sprocket 15 rotating following up the travel of the endless chain 11, and an upstream-side return rail 24 guiding the scraping member 12 when the endless chain 11 travels on a side of a water surface W. The endless chain 11 has a restriction member 123 abutting against the upstream-side return rail 24. The upstream-side return rail 24 has a slide contact part 240 which the restriction member 123 abuts against. The slide contact part 240 has a horizontal part 242 extending from nearby the driving sprocket 14 toward the intermediate sprocket 15, and a driving wheel-side inclined part 243 inclined upward from an end of the horizontal part 242 on the side of the driving sprocket 14 to an upstream side.
