Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of an abnormal increase in pressure by providing an inlet side passage connecting a valve chest to an inlet of a valve casing of a sluice valve and outlet side passage opened to the base of the valve chest and connected to an outlet of the valve casing of the sluice valve. CONSTITUTION:A valve body 7 of a sluice valve is provided with a cylindrical valve chest 9 opened upward, and inlet side passage 11 connected to the inlet side of a valve casing 2 is opened to the side wall of the valve chest 9. An outlet side passage 12 connected to the outlet side of the valve casing 2 is opened to the base of the valve chest. A conical valve seat 13 for a stop valve is disposed on the base of the valve casing 9. Even if a sluice valve 1 is completely closed, the drum portion 5 is connected to the inlet side of the valve casing 2 through the valve chest 9 of the stop valve and the inlet side passage 11, to prevent the occurrence of an abnormal increase in pressure.
