PURPOSE: A quinone-containing slurried composition having high concentration, low viscosity, storable in a dispersed state stably for a long period, obtained by adding an anthraquinonedisulfonate to an aromatic quinone compound having low water dispersion properties.
CONSTITUTION: An aromatic quinone-containing slurried composition obtained by adding an anthraquinonedisulfonate (e.g., 2,7-anthraquinonedisulfonate, etc.) shown by the formula (X and Y are Na, K, ammonium, Mg or Ca ion with the proviso that Mg or Ca is 1/2) (preferably 0.1W50wt% based on aromatic quinone) to an aromatic quinone (e.g., anthraquinone, etc.). Addition of a small amount of a lignin sulfonate to the anthraquinonedisulfonate improves further water dispersion properties, slurrying with high concentration can be carried out smoothly, and addition of a polyacrylate having 1,000,000W10,000,000 average molecular weight provides the titled composition with improved stability.
