To provide a slurry for shaping, capable of inhibiting the dispersion of granules even at the shaping using the granules, and to provide a shaping method using the slurry for the shaping.
The slurry for the shaping, for shaping a shaped article by the granules is obtained by mixing water of an aqueous solvent, the granules of a resin which are the hydrophobic granules constituting the shaped article, and a polyvinyl alcohol which is an amphiphatic solid polymer constituting the shaped article, soluble in a solvent, having a main chain comprising a hydrocarbon chain, and containing hydroxy groups on the side chains. A polyvinyl alcohol having a polymerization degree of ≥300 and ≤1,000, or having a saponification degree of ≥85 and ≤90 is preferable as the polyvinyl alcohol among the constituent materials, and the polyvinyl alcohol satisfying both conditions of the polymerization degree and the saponification degree is more preferable.
