Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the outer appearance of a skin laminated product by eliminating a groove in a core and, at the same time, realize the reduction of forming molds and a finishing cost by a method wherein a V-notched surface and a thin walled part, which are formed at the product end part of a skin, are imbedded in some part of a core.
SOLUTION: A skin 3, the end part upper edge part of which is left by trimming a thin walled part 7, is arranged on the cavity surface 11 of a cavity mold 10 so as to direct the V-notched surface 9 and the thin walled part 7 of the skin 3 consisting of a product part downwards. In this case, in the cavity mold 10, a passage 13 penetrating to the cavity surface 11 of a mold surface is provided so as to install the skin 3 on the cavity surface 11 through vacuum vacuumizing by actuating a sucking device 14. By assembling a core mold 12 to the cavity mold 10, a gap part 15 coinciding with a core shape formed onto both the molds 10 and 12 is formed so as to charge a core-forming resin from the direction indicated with the arrow Y in the gap part 15 in order to form a core 2, resulting in obtaining an instrument panel as a molded product, in which the core and the skin 3 are made into an integral body.
