To provide a small booster transformer which allows a ring core and a drum core to be easily and accurately positioned to suppress variation in inductance between the cores.
The small booster transformer comprises a pedestal 11, the ring core 12, the drum core 13 having a core portion 13a, and a coil 23 wound around the core portion 13a of the drum core 13, wherein the pedestal 11 is provided with at least two first positioning projections 16 abutting against a sidewall 26 of the ring core 12 to restrict lateral movement of the ring core 12 and also provided with a second positioning projection 18 abutting against one collar portion of the drum core 13 at a plurality of positions to restrict lateral movement of the drum core 13, and a magnetic path gap 31 is formed between the ring core 12 and drum core 13 to set inductance of the coil 23.
