PURPOSE: To easily perform hand-writing input by providing a lower body with built-in computer circuit, an upper body housing a plane display, and a supporting mechanism holding the upper body so as to locate the plane display of the upper body at an arbitrary angle to the lower body.

CONSTITUTION: To input data directly in a plane display 7 on an upper body 6 using a pen 9 for hand-writing input, the upper body 6 is located on an upper surface 1A of the lower body 1 so that the plane display 7 turns upward. After that, the upper body 6 is put on the lower body 1, and the lower body 1 is closed by the upper body 6. The data input is performed by bringing the end point 9A of a pen 9 for hand-writing input directly into contact with the plane display or pressing it by the contact of the point 9A. In short, the handwriting input can be performed by turning the plane display 7 upward completely by putting the upper body 6 on the lower body 1.
