To produce a small-gage wire, having a high tying strength when tying the small-gage wire and hardly slipping off another small-gage wire when tied thereto, excellent in visibility and useful as a fishing line, etc., by securing resin balls excellent in adhesion to the small-gage wire.

This small-gage wire is obtained by sticking droplets of a photo- setting resin composition (having preferably 500-5000cP viscosity at 25°C) to preferably a small-gage wire such as a metallic small-gage wire having 0.02 to ≤5mm diameter, irradiating the droplets with active rays such as ultraviolet rays and forming one resin ball of a uniform shape or plural separated ones on the small-gage wire.
