Abstract:
PURPOSE: To promote controllability for opening and shutting a motor valve even if the motor valve, etc., used for an inlet valve of a water turbine is enlarged and to control an equipment cost.
CONSTITUTION: A motor type inlet valve 4 is provided on the upstream side of a water turbine 1 placed to an outlet side of a penstock 2 and driving a generator 3. A by-pass pipe 6 bypassed to the motor type inlet valve 4 and allowing the minimum volume of water to pass within range enough to generate generated output necessary for the generator 3 to open and shut the motor type inlet valve 4 is provided. A gate valve 7 opened and operated in the case operation is started is inserted in the bypass pipe 6.
