Abstract:
To locate a fuel pump without increasing the overall length of an engine.
A drive pulley 51 mounted on an extended distal end 39a extending forwardly from a crank shaft 37 of an engine 21 is connected to a driven pulley 52 mounted on the front end of the engine 21 by an endless belt 53. A fuel pump 32 is mounted on a fuel pump shaft 57a extending rearward from the driven pulley 52. The fuel pump 32 is driven by way of the extended distal end on the crank shaft 37 of the engine 21, the drive pulley 51, the endless belt 53, the driven pulley 52 and the fuel pump shaft 57a.
