PURPOSE: To minimize the fatigue of an operator by visually recognizing the printing contents of a printer through a transmissivity control type (liquid crystal) display device.

CONSTITUTION: A printer 4 is provided behind a keyboard 2 and it printing contents are visually recognized by an operator. The operator sees the printing contents through a liquid-crystal panel 8. On the liquid-crystal panel 8, current sentences typed are displayed at need. The operator operates a switch for switching between lighting to the liquid-crystal panel 8 and that to the printing contents, and thus lighted display is seen. The operator is less fatigued because the printing contents and liquid-crystal display can be seen in one direction.
