PURPOSE: To expedite draping at an initial time of using by axially providing a plurality of convergent protrusions in parallel on a brush in contact with a commutator of a small-sized motor in a rotating direction of the commutator, molding the brush in the rotating direction of the commutator, and increasing a size of the end of the brush larger than a support.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of convergent protrusions are axially formed in parallel with a rotating direction of a commutator at an end of a brush 14 in contact with the commutator 41 of a small-sized motor to supply a current. A direction of the brush at the time of press molding powder material is made coincident with a rotating direction of the commutator 41, a molding direction size of the end of the brush 14 is made larger than a size A of a mounting part of a brush arm 7 thereby to reduce hardness of the end of the brush. Thus, the brush 14 is rapidly draped with the commutator 4 at an initial time of using to prevent a decrease in an output and generation of a sliding sound.
