To provide a small-sized planning boat enabling rises in the temperatures of both an engine and an exhaust manifold to be properly detected by one temperature sensor.
The small-sized planning boat includes the water cooled multiple cylinder engine E positioned in an engine room inside the boat, the exhaust manifold M collecting exhaust pipes form the engine and cooled with cooling water, and a water-jet pump P driven by the engine. Water pressurized and accelerated by the water-jet pump is ejected from a nozzle hole open at the rear of the vessel and the vessel is propelled by the reaction of the water. The end of the exhaust manifold M downstream of exhaust is connected to a muffler 6 via a flexible connection pipeline 7 and the temperature sensor 8 is disposed in the exhaust manifold M at the connection between the connection pipeline 7 and the tip of the exhaust manifold M.
