Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke detector with an increased accuracy of detecting smoke.SOLUTION: A smoke detector 1 includes a first smoke-detecting section 3 and a second smoke-detecting section 4. The first smoke-detecting section 3 has a first housing 3a with an opening for entrance of smoke, a first light-emitting part 3b in the first housing 3a for emitting light, and a first light-receiving part 3c for receiving the light emitted from the first light-emitting part 3b and scattered in smoke. The second smoke-detecting section 4 has a second housing 4a communicated with the upper area of the first housing 3a and having a smoke flow passage 21 opening to the inside of the first housing 3a, a second light-emitting part 4b in the second housing 4a for emitting light, and a second light-receiving part 4c for receiving the light emitted from the second light-emitting part 4b and scattered in smoke.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
