Title:
SMOKE DIVIDING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1159597
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To divide the circulation of the air between smoking seats and non- smoking seats using an air curtain as a boundary to prevent the air on a smoking seat side from flowing onto a non-smoking seat side by providing the air curtain between a smoking room and a non-smoking room to eliminate the circulation of the air between the smoking room and the non-smoking room.

In a guest room of an aircraft, for example, the air which passes an engine and flows in is blown out into a passage 9 between smoking seats 1 and non-smoking seats 2 by an air blowing out device to form an air curtain 8. In this case, an air blowing out port 3 keeps an angle of 5° for a floor surface and vertical direction. A wall which shuts off the flow of the air is formed between the smoking seats 1 and the non-smoking seats 2 by this air curtain. Furthermore, the air which constitutes the air curtain 8 flows into a lower part of the seat which is a lower part of an aircraft body and goes upward along a wall of the body. The air which rises circulates on the smoking seats again and scarcely flows onto the non-smoking seats which are the other parts in the body.
