Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flue gas treatment apparatus increasing desulfurizing efficiency in an exhaust gas in a flue gas treatment apparatus provided with a COrecovery device.SOLUTION: The flue gas treatment apparatus includes: an absorption tower having an absorbing part introducing the exhaust gas from combustion equipment in which a boiler is included and bringing it into gas-liquid contact with an adsorbent which contains limestone or limestone-containing slurry, a storage part storing the adsorbent which absorbs a sulfur oxide in the exhaust gas in the absorbing part, and a circulating part circulating the adsorbent in the storage part to the absorbing part; a carbon dioxide recovery part recovering carbon dioxide in the exhaust gas from which the sulfur oxide is removed in the absorption tower; and a carbon dioxide supply part supplying carbon dioxide into the adsorbent in the absorption tower. By supplying carbon dioxide into the adsorbent, pH of the adsorbent is reduced to increase oxidation efficiency of calcium sulfite, thereby increasing the desulfurizing efficiency. Effective use of carbon dioxide is promoted by supplying the recovered carbon dioxide into the adsorbent.
