Title:
SMOKE SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01121737
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To put an air cleaner in operation when the air in a room is contaminated and to broadcast the contamination of the air by voice by providing an optical system consisting of a high-brightness LED and a condenser lens, a photoelectric converting element, and a generating device for a smoke detection signal. CONSTITUTION:When the switch of the title device is turned on, the high- brightness LED 6 in the small hole 5a of a smoke detector 4 emits light, which is converged by a converging lens 7 to irradiate the photoelectric converting element 9 through a slit 8 in the small hole 5b. When smoke enters the detector 4, the light of the LED 6 is cut off, and then the quantity of light projected on the element 9 decreases, so that an input voltage to an amplifier 13 drops. Consequently, when the input voltage to a voltage level converter 14 drops below a reference voltage, a pulse signal is inputted to a timer 16 to drive an air blower 11, and a trigger pulse is inputted to a speech generating circuit 18, so that voice is outputted from a speaker 19.
