To orderly generate a number of independent lumps of smoke in various positions in air at intervals of a short time and to further improve an interest in use, by providing a number of granular smoking chemicals where smoking chemical is formed in a granular shape.

In a smoking toy fire work, a middle plug 25 and a bottom plate 27 are mounted on a cylindrical body 23, a central hole 25a is formed in the middle plug 25, and number of granular smoking chemicals 21 formed in a granular state are disposed between the middle plug 25 and the bottom plate 27 together with a squirt chemical 20. One end of a fuse 28 running through the central hole 25a of the middle plug 25 fronts on a granular smoking chemical 21 and the squirt chemical 20. The squirt chemical 20 uses a black explosive composed of, for example, 70 wt.% calcium nitrate, 15 wt.% sulfur, and 15 wt.% char coal. The squirt chemical 20 has a thrust force high enough to effect squirt of the granular smoking chemical 21 to a position above the cylindrical body 23. Further, igniting power 29 fixes the fuse 28 to the middle plug 25.
