PURPOSE: To reduce the dross sticking to the front side of a steel strip by connecting a liquid discharger to the front end side of a projecting part disposed at a snout.
CONSTITUTION: The snout 4 is arranged to incline with a coating bath 3. The steel strip 1 having cleaned surfaces is passed in the snout 4 and is immersed in the coating bath. The steel strip 1 travels around a sink roll and ascends from the coating bath 3. The part vertically crossing the bath surface of the front side wall 16 (sink roll side) of the snout 4 is expanded outward to a box shape and is provided with the projecting part 17. The part immersed in the coating bath 3 on the front end side of the projecting part 17 is provided with a hole 18 communicating with the outside. The projecting part 17 may be disposed over the entire width of the snout 4 and may be disposed only in the width part of the steel strip 1. A fluid discharge 21 is connected to the hole 18. As a result, the dross in the projecting part stagnates and is, therefore, easily dischargeable outside.
