Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a snow accretion retarding ring which prevents generation of an ice post and has light weight and excellent bendability by providing a ring body having a connecting part and a plurality of corners and made of a plastic material to be engaged at the connecting part around a wire, and metal members buried in the corners.

CONSTITUTION: Irons 11 are buried at corners of a rectangular ring body 10 molded of polycarbonate, and a bent part 12 is formed at its center. A female hook 13 made of aluminum is mounted at one opening end of the body 10. A male hook 14 made of aluminum is mounted at the other opening end to be engaged therewith. Thus, snow accretion retarding ring 1 can be mounted around an electric wire. When thus constructed ring is mounted on a wire, even if the wire is conducted for a long time, an ice post is not confirmed, and when the wire is mounted, a sufficient bendability is exhibited and is light in weight.
