To prevent tile cracking or subsidence caused by fallen snow by forming a snow guard plate resisting slip of fallen snow at one end of a base plate placeable on a tile, and providing an abutting plate wider than the base plate on the back of a portion of the base plate connected with the snow guard plate.
This snow guard metal fitting 1 is formed by a substantially strip-like thin plate, and constructed by a base plate 2 placeable on waveform of a tile and a snow guard plate 3 formed by bending one end of the base plate 2 to resist slip of fallen snow. A back plate 5 recessed on the base plate 2 side according to the shape of a tile, having a larger radius of curvature and a larger width than the base plate 2 is provided on the back of the vicinity of the bent part 4 of the base plate 2 connected with the snow guard plate 3. The bent part 4 is supported by a support member 21 with the inside thereof fixed to the base plate 2 to lessen load applied to the snow guard plate 3. On the other hand, a stepped part 6 is provided at the other end of the snow guard metal fitting 1, and at the lower stage, a nail driving hole 7 is provided to be fitted to a tile or the like. Accordingly, load applied to the tile can be dispersed by the back plate in spite of fallen snow.
