Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a snow melting device for antenna reflector improving snow melting property and durability by providing a heater unit and a heat insulator on the back of the reflection mirror of the antenna reflector and performing back shell mounting for the entire back.
CONSTITUTION: A heater unit 4 is composed of a soaking sheet 5 composed of aluminium foil having the almost same area and shape as a reflection mirror rear face 3 partitioned by a rib member 2, and cord heater 7 fused and fixed to a fusing layer 6 formed on the surface of the sheet 5 while meandering. Since the cord heater 7 is meandered in the plane of the sheet 5, the complicated plane shape of the reflection mirror rear face 3 partitioned by the rib member 2 can be dealt with. Then, the heater 7 covers the resistance conductor with the insulator of vinyl chloride, and both of the terminals are connected with lead wires and cholked with the heater 7. The cholked part is covered with the insulated tube of vinyl chloride and fused by a high frequency welder, and water-proofing air tight structure is obtained. A thermostat 11 detects the temperature of the unit 4 and when snow is completely melted, electrification is stopped and contributed for power saving.
