Abstract:
PURPOSE: To melt snow in a snowfall area with clean energy in an energy saving way.
CONSTITUTION: A closed buried pipe 12 provided with a reciprocating path, closed at the lower end and provided with heat transfer material 16 at the lower part is buried so as to reach an underground rock-bed part 11, and the passage of the buried pipe 12 forms an antifreezing solution circulating path together with fluid passages in snow melting plates 5a, 5b disposed in positions exposed to the sunlight. A pump 17 and an accumulator 9a are disposed in the closed passage, and in the summer, solar heat energy received by the snow melting plates 5a, 5b is accumulated in the underground rock-bed part 11 from the lower part of the buried pipe 12. In the winter, heat in the underground rock-bed part 11 is led to the snow melting plate 5a by the changeover of a switching means.
