To properly melt snow at a low running cost.
This snow melting equipment is provided with a water spray means for melting the snow by pumping water in a water storage tank 23 by means of a pump 31 and spraying the water onto the snow accumulated on a viaduct 1. The snow melting equipment is also provided with a hydraulic power unit 11 which drops the sprayed water and meltwater from the viaduct 1, so as to generate electric power by using energy of the dropped water. A heater 25 for heating the water in the water storage tank 23 for spraying the water is provided to generate heat by being supplied with the electric power generated by the unit 11. The pump 31 is driven by being supplied with the electric power generated by the unit 11. A snow melting heater 35 for melting the snow on the viaduct 1 is provided to generate heat by being supplied with the electric power generated by the unit 11.
