Title:
SNOW MELTING METHOD FOR HEAPED SNOW SURFACE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3458219
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To give a sure snow removing function to an existing roof and a new roof via the simple work without requiring an expensive facility investment and effectively remove snow.
CONSTITUTION: At least part of an heaped snow surface is covered with a planar liquid absorbing raw material 2, a heat medium serving as the priming water for snow melting is fed to the liquid absorbing raw material 2, and part of the heat medium flowing down from the liquid absorbing raw material 2 is absorbed by snow grains into sherbet. The thaw water is received by the liquid absorbing raw material 2 to form a planar radiator containing the flowing heat medium and thaw water, and the snow located above the planar radiator is melted before the snow at the other portion in this snow melting method on a roof. The liquid absorbing raw material 2 is provided with many parallel ridge-like projections 5 having a liquid absorbing property and crossing the flowing direction of the heat medium, and the flowing heat medium is absorbed by the ridge-like projections 5. The heat medium flows down over the ridge-like projections 5 while being horizontally spread along the ridge-like projections 5 to cover the whole face of the liquid absorbing raw material 2, and the heat medium exchanges heat with the snow grains.
