In a snow melting spiral rod 10, a magnetic wire material 11 is spirally formed and wound around an electric wire 2 to melt snow. Protrusion parts 12, protruding relative to a surface of the electric wire when the magnetic wire material is wound therearound, are provided in the magnetic wire material at a predetermined interval. The multiple protrusion parts 12 are provided at the interval so as to be arranged along a spiral locus different from that of the magnetic wire material when the magnetic wire material is wound therearound.
