PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow melting system capable of further reducing cost while maintaining snow melting capacity.
SOLUTION: A snow melting system is equipped with first, second and third heating elements R1-R3, an AC power source P supplying electric power to the first - third heating elements R1-R3 and switching sections (a)-(c) provided between the AC power source P and the first - third heating elements R1-R3, one of the first - third heating elements R1-R3 is selected, at the same time, the remaining heating elements are selected to connect them in series, and one heating element to be selected is so switched that it can be successively changed at a specific time interval. The first - third heating elements R1-R3 are buried in a road or near the like thereof.
