To effectively remove snow on a membrane roof and reduce labor and equipment cost for installing facilities required to remove snow.
A building 1 with a membrane roof has a membrane roof 2 constructed by double membranes. A spit hole 9a to supple air (hot air or clod air) between the double membranes(a space)2c along the wall 4 of building 1 and a spit hole 6a to supply hot air into a room 3 are arranged. By supplying hot air from the spit hole 9a into the space 2c for a preset time, the accumulated snow 13 at the membrane roof portion 12 is thawed to form a water membrane. Cold air is supplied from the spit hole 9a into the space 2c for a preset time to freeze the water membrane and then hot air is supplied from the spit hole 9a into the space 2c for a preset time to thaw the frozen portion. In this way, the accumulated snow 13 is slided on the surface of the membrane roof and dropped down.
