PURPOSE: To realize weight reduction and to drop the snow efficiently by disposing a power supply control section for driving a scraper having inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of a wire closely to an arm of a steel tower while spacing from the scraper.
CONSTITUTION: A radio repeater 11 and an antenna 12 are mounted on an arm 23 of a steel tower. A receiver 10, an antenna 13 and a power supply control section 9 are disposed, closely to a clamp 21, on a wire 20 anchored through the clamp 21 to an insulator string 22. A wire protecting spiral rod 8 is wound around the wire 20 and a snow removing spiral rod 3 is wound spirally in reverse direction thereon. A power supply control cable (not shown) is contained on the inside of the wire protecting spiral rod 8. A plurality of scrapers 1 having inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the wire 20 including the spiral rods 8, 3 and provided with driving rods 2 in front and rear are arranged on the wire 20. The radio repeater 11 remote controls the receiver 10 to actuate the power supply control section 9 so as to control the current thus remote controlling the scraper 1. According to the invention, weight of snow drop device is reduced.
