To provide a binding or a boots strap which enables a user to tighen or loosen the strap easily, quickly and efficiently around own boots.
The strap contains a strap for engagement with boots which gets engaged with an engaging strap to be engaged with the boots or the binding. A structure so arranged as to easily tighen or loosen two strap pieces is provided to ensure that the user can gets own feet into or out of the boots or tighten or loosen the boots onto a snowboard binding. The structure contains a tightening element which the user can pull to tighten the strap by moving the strap pieces. The tightening element has an accompnied mechanical advantage and a force applied to the tightening element further enhances the force to the strap. A retractor is utilized to receive an extra part of the tightening element after the tightening of the strap. Hook and catch gears are used to separate the strap from the boots or the binding.
