Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a sock holding device which receives a group of socks among a number of foot forms from a sock takeout device and holds them for a certain period of time, wherein generation of folding wrinkles is prevent by stacking the taken-out socks in a bundle, handing them over on a supporting member in such a way as lying horizontally, and handing over a group of socks on a holding conveyor.
CONSTITUTION: When socks 35 in a bundle are given from a hanged over member of a takeout device and hanged over, they are then hanged over on a handover arm 3 of a handover means 1. In this condition, a holding member 4 advances so that two arm portions 3a open upon contacting the large diametric portion 5a of an arm opening pin 5, and the distance between the dangling two ends of the socks 35 is widened. At the same time, a handover lever 27 fixed to an upper holder element 4a advances also, and the rubber parts 35a of the socks 35 are borne by this lever 27. Then the arm 3 sinks, and when it reaches the downmost position, the arm portions 3a are set off from the pin 3 and closed. while the central part of the socks 35 remains lying on a stock conveyor 2 horizontally.
