The socket 16 comprises a socket body 41, and a rotator 42 and a pair of terminals 43 arranged in the socket body 41. When the straight tube type lamp 12 is mounted, an insertion port 49, in which a pair of lamp pins 29 can be inserted, is provided on a plane crossing with a front face of the socket body 41 opposed to the straight tube type lamp 12. An opening 50, which is communicated with the insertion port 49 and in which a pair of the lamp pins 29 can rotate, is provided on the front face of the socket body 41. An inclined part 55 projecting and inclined from a front face side to a back face side along a lamp rotation direction is provided at an edge of the opening 50 of the socket body 41.
