PURPOSE: To allow hydration reaction to be taken place exactly and safely by a method in which a water-impermeable cylinder with a yarn to be used for breakage is inserted into a casing buried under soft ground, quick lime is packed into the cylinder, and the cylinder is broken.
CONSTITUTION: A casing 12 whose tip is attached with a cone 10 is buried in soft ground, and a water-impermeable cylinder 14 is inserted into the casing 12. In this case, a hole 18 is provided near the lower end of the cylinder 14, and a yarn 20 is provided to the cylinder 14 by extending it to the upper and in a nearly U-shaped form along the inner and outer surfaces of the cylinder 14 through the hole 18. Quick lime 16 is packed into the cylinder 14, the casing 12 is pulled out, and the yarn 20 is pulled upwards to break the cylinder 14 vertically. Moisture in the soft ground is absorbed by the quick lime and it is coagulated. Hydration reaction can thus be performed safely and exactly in a short time.
