PURPOSE: To shorten a term of works, by a method wherein a long bag is inserted into a casing driven in a soft ground, the bag is filled with chaff, and after the top of the bag is closed, the casing is pulled off from a ground as a compressed air is fed.
CONSTITUTION: Sand 2 is laid over the surface of a soft ground 1. When a casing 3 is driven into the ground 1, an opening 4 at the lower end of the casing 3 is watertightly closed, and when the casing 3 is pulled up, the casing 3, having a shoe 5 serving to open the opening 4, is driven in the ground 1. A long bag, having water permeability and resistance to water, is inserted into the casing 3, and after chaff 7 is charged in the bag 6 to fill the bag therewith, the top part of the bag is closed. Further, the casing 3 is pulled off from the ground 1 as a compressed air 8 is fed in the top part of the bag 6, and a column 09 formed with the bag 6 filled with the chaff 7 is left in the ground 1.
